Get out with BESL this summer! For the fifth year running BESL are offering FREE guided walks in the Broads. Explore the sights and sounds of this biologically rich area in the company of our Environmental Scientists. They are there to help you appreciate just how wonderful, diverse and valuable the habitat in the Broads is to us, and some of the species that call it home, and to highlight some of the works that have been undertaken to preserve it.

Temporary footpath closuresIn the course of the construction of flood defence works we, unfortunately, are required to close public rights of way temporarily for health and safety purposes. Where possible diversion routes are provided and/or alternative routes are indicated.
Please click on the links below to read the current list of footpath closures.
The second link takes you to the page where the route maps are available for viewing.
We apologise for any incovenience the closures might cause but in the interest of health and safety, both of the general public and the workforce, the closures are required. Once construction work is finished and the banks sufficiently settled and revegetated then we will re-open the affected route, this may involve periods where there appears to be little or no activity on site. ALL PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY ARE RE-OPENED AT THE EARLIEST, SAFEST OPPORTUNITY.
Thank you for your understanding.
