In 2007 the site operatives for the BFAP uncovered the remains of what was later revealed to be an Iron Age timber causeway in Barsham. The causeway is situated on the opposite bank of the River Waveney and there is the possibility that a section of the causeway might be situated within the Compartment 25a Phase 2 works. An archaeological watching brief will be implemented during the material sourcing works to mitigate for this possible occurance. Click here to return to Compartment 25a main page
